1. The achenes are short beaked, spindle shaped and black. 2. Pupation takes place in a spindle shaped cocoon made on the leaf. 3. Pyriform, spindle shaped or ovoid merozoites with large nuclei differentiate into spheroidal gamonts. 4. The male cones are solitary, spindle shaped , 25 cm long and 9 cm diameter. 5. The spindle shape and subsequently divides. 6. Other morphologies have also been described : spindle shaped , rod shaped, filamentous, icosahedral and spherical. 7. The smooth, translucent spores are narrowly spindle shaped and measure 11 17 by 3.5 5 �m. 8. The schools typically contain 50 to 200 fish, and are arranged by age and size in a spindle shape . 9. The larvae are spindle shaped , transversely wrinkled, and covered in small tubercles, giving it a rough appearance. 10. The eggs are milky white and spindle shaped , and are usually laid singly on a leaf of the host plant.
